Indian Times Part 1...

In October 2008 I travelled with Mama Cakes and my Aunt through India and trekked to Tapovan 4463m / 14640ft above sea level. No easy feat. I can't even begin to describe the place, words can never do it justice. We walked and scrambled and cried our way to this plateau where the sky touches the earth and scattered my Uncle ashes. This was his place in the world, where he chose to rest. The last photo in the post is of the shrine we built for him at the base of Mt Shivaling, looking out over the Amar (Immortal) Ganga stream at the Bhagarati peaks.
